Happy first birthday to this sweet little boy, David Asher! 

His momma did a good job making his smash cake and he loved every bite of it.

I photographed him a year ago as a newborn, it's amazing how quickly that first year goes by!

Adela LOVED the balloons for her first birthday session.

Her momma would toss them to her and she loved it, especially when she would let the air out of the balloon.

And the cake part of her session, just wait for it . . .

 . . . she couldn't wait to dig into her cake . . .

(also, no worries, the candle isn't really lit....it's a magic photoshop trick)

This little girl celebrated her first birthday.

I think this is my favorite from Adela's one year session.

Maybe it's because my boy sucked his thumb when he was little and I thought it was the sweetest. 

 I knew as soon as I saw Adela put her thumb in her mouth that I had to photograph it.

This bunny and quilt her momma made for her.

It has been a part of every milestone session.

Summer has come to an end and fall has finally decided to arrive. 

This was the last summertime evening session of this year. 

I'm sad to see the warm summer days disappear but happy to see the start of autumn colors and cool fall nights begin.

ONE

This sweet little boy's cake smash was adorable, from the cake his Momma made to the painted high chair to the pom pom garland.

He enjoyed his cake very much that day.

And he enjoyed sharing it with his sweet parents.

Silas is now two and has celebrated his second birthday since this session.  

I have so many sessions to share, many from last year such as his.

I am sharing sessions on the blog that have been waiting to be shared since our move this past year.  It's been a little chaotic with the move and everything is starting to find it's new place in our new home. 

I miss these trees and the beautiful light it gave me to do sessions in the middle of the day. There have been many newborns and babies photographed under these trees. 

We've visited our old home once since the move. Would you believe me if I told you these beautiful trees have since been cut down? I was a sad to see that these trees, that had just started producing acorns last fall, were cut down. I love our new (old) home but really do miss these trees.

Our new (old) home has a big tree in the backyard, I can't wait to see what color leaves it will have this fall.
